I think it clever how you made the figure speak "A", well I see it that way at the moment. Nice arrangement of everything. Less is more!!! One thing I would add to this image, if I may be so bold, is a glaze or stain of color over the interior but it looks great as is. You may have already done this and it just doesn't translate through my computer screen.

This is such a useful comment. I did stare at the map for a long time, my fingers itching to reach for the distress inks or the glaze medium. In the end, I decided to leave it "clean", but I'm not sure if it was the right choice. Thank you for your advice!

What is Acetate transparency?

An ancient technology used for overhead projectors (in the days before laptops and powerpoint). Basically, they are clear plastic sheets which you can feed through your printer. I use them a lot to get transparent layers in collage. Some more info here: [link]
