This book is work-in-progress ~ an alternative re-telling of the Bluebeard fairytale.
Spread 1: Young and idealistic, she flirts with possibilities. Who will she marry? (She doesn't know, yet, that she has the choice not to marry at all, and she will not know this until she is a much older and wiser woman.) But today she is young and beautiful, and more than a little giddy, and the suitors cluster around her.
She looks like quite an assertive young woman - note the tie and the riding crop. Perhaps she will make a sensible choice. But I doubt it, somehow. Shall we warn her? Who should she pick instead?
On the other hand, if she picks the accountant, we can be pretty sure the fairytale will run out of plot twists rather rapidly. So perhaps we should just watch, and wait, and see what happens next.
Collage: acrylic glazes; transparent lace packing tape; Leyendecker 1920s Arrow Shirt collar ad; Japanese polka-dot masking tape; dymotape; brass filing cabinet brackets fixed to the page with brads; filing labels typed on an old typewriter, aged with soya sauce, beeswax and brown wax crayon.
Supplies: Great selection of Japanese masking tapes at PrettyTape [link] and decorative packing tapes at RetroNaNa [link]

The creepy one is such a hilarious touch I don't know tho, the sugar daddy will die, the poet will burn out(passion) the creepy one will never be truly honest. But the accountant has stability and patience.
