Traditional Art / Assemblage

Rule 11: "Stop trying to be someone else's perfect"

Assemblage / shadow box / diorama in an old dominoes tin 10 x 18 cm

Base layers:
Paper, acrylic glazes, washi tape, washi paper, gold foiling pen, vintage Gillette razor blades, poured resin layer.

Front layers:
Shelf cut from vintage carpenter's measuring stick.
Paper lace edging.
Miniature brass candelabra.
Acetate transparency butterfly wing.
Figure on cardboard mounted 3D on sewing machine bobbins.
Curtain on card sketched in copic markers and gel pens, silk-covered buttons.
Filing bracket, mica sheet, brads.

I love these..did you use altoid tins? I have a stack of them here..I started to work on a few...fun items to use for this...Your wonderful as always!!!! You have motivated me to finish my mini boxes.

For these I used domino tins, which are quite a bit bigger than Altoids tins. Altoids are bit more of a challenge because of the small scale - but fun to do!
