Oh, that's marvelous!
...just marvelous Margaret ! - I'm usually not a big fan of wings on people - but love what you've done here - even to the fine detail of the way they attach ----and little things like her foot seemingly planted on the building ledge . . . the little subliminal details like the vague lines fanning out into the sky above those needle threader wings - the brick like clouds over the flatiron building - the right-hand building standing out from the edge etc . . . . . lots to enjoy . . . . . . would be a DD if I was the boss of DA
Thank you so much! I also dread the potential sentimental kitschiness of wings. Needed to find something more edgy ...
... yer wecome M . . . yeah - I suppose , though - if one puts out fairy wings under the banner of 'kitsch' - then one can sometimes get away with it . . . ( can you get away with rainbows and unicorns in the same way though ). . . anyway you avoided the fairy wing thing by using needle threaders . . . quite clever!
Nicely read, good eye.
Very clever usage of the wings and construction of the buildings. Great work!
Attack of the 50ft fairy!
Your collages are outstandingly beautiful.. Such a great one!
